Okay, so maybe I just live under a rock, but am I the only one who didn’t know about this #GivingTuesday?
As soon as I saw stuff about it in my social feeds this morning, I was all over it.
I totally loved the whole idea around it- especially after a full weekend focused on good deals. And let’s be honest- we all bought some stuff for ourselves between Black Friday, Small Biz Saturday and Cyber Monday.
I knew I wanted to do something, but then that little voice came up in my head.
“Angie, you have already sent so many deal emails to your list for Four Days of Fabulous. You will be bothering people. Your unsubscribes will go up…”
Yep. All totally true. We had planned out deals for the entire weekend for our Hello Life beauties. So was I really going to send them another email?
Our whole company is wrapped around helping a cause, so it just felt wrong not doing something for this day. We decided that we would give all proceeds from any lipsticks purchased to the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Healthcare.
So we made the graphics quick (thank goodness I have a designer who loves me), got social posts out there, and sent out the email to announce what we’ve got going on.
Yes, there is a chance people will unsubscribe. But I’m okay with that because our ideal client will love the reason behind what we are doing as much as we do.
I took the risk to losing a few people because it is my bigger passion behind the makeup that is important.
So no matter who you give to today, I just want to say, “Happy #GivingTuesday, peeps!”
